Wounded War Veteran Receives New Home
September 3, 2020 · 2 min read

One of the hallmarks of leadership is giving back. That’s why we’re feeling extremely inspired by our client, David Belman, who just gave away a new home to a veteran who was severely injured by an IED blast while serving overseas. But this isn’t the first time David has given away a brand-new, mortgage-free home… it’s the sixth time.
“It’s so amazing to see them walk through the door and give them the keys to their new home. It’s just a wonderful feeling,” says David.
As the president of Belman Homes, a leading builder in Wisconsin, partnering with Operation Finally Home helps David embody his core belief of servant leadership. Giving back to the community has been a core focus of his organization, and it’s helped shape a positive company culture and high employee retention.
We challenge you to watch the video of the recent home dedication ceremony without getting a little teary-eyed!
David is currently working on his first book, Leadership Growth Hacks: A guide for emerging leaders to think differently, kickstart performance, and get ahead quicker. In this book, he will reveal simple but powerful tactics for accelerating progress and making a bigger impact faster. Leadership Growth Hacks is expected to launch in February 2021, and we’ll keep you posted on when it’s available! [Updated to share info on the book, which was published on March 5, 2021.]
