How to Promote Your Book
February 1, 2022 · 2 min read
Wondering how to promote your book? Here’s one of the best pieces of marketing advice I have for authors: the best time to promote your book is BEFORE you finish writing it. I know that might seem a little bit scary! Your book isn’t done; how do you know you’re going to finish it? How do you know it’s going to be good? What do you tell people about it? What do you say about the release date if you haven’t set one yet? There are a lot of unknowns, but that’s OK! Your audience doesn’t need all the answers. They just need to get to know you better.
If you’re currently writing a book, start a conversation about it today. To take some of the pressure off, you don’t even have to mention that you’re an aspiring author! Just talk about one of the topics in your book. (Post something to social, ask a question, share a link to a related article.) The sooner you’re able to connect with potential readers about the topics in your book, the better your launch is going to go!
